- J. Paul Leagans (1961) developed the classic 6-element agricultural extension communication model consisting of: Communicator $\to$ Message $\to$ Channel $\to$ Treatment of Message $\to$ Audience $\to$ Audience Response.
- Aristotle's rhetorical model comprises only 3 elements: Speaker $\to$ Speech $\to$ Audience.
- Shannon-Weaver (1949) proposed the mathematical telecommunication model: Source $\to$ Transmitter $\to$ Signal/Noise $\to$ Receiver $\to$ Destination.
- David Berlo (1960) developed the SMCR model: Source $\to$ Message $\to$ Channel $\to$ Receiver.
- जे. पॉल लीगन्स (J. Paul Leagans, 1961) ने प्रसार संचार का प्रसिद्ध 6-तत्वीय मॉडल प्रतिपादित किया: संचारक (Communicator) $\to$ संदेश (Message) $\to$ माध्यम (Channel) $\to$ संदेश का उपचार (Treatment) $\to$ श्रोतागण (Audience) $\to$ श्रोता की प्रतिक्रिया (Response)।
