- Pseudomonas species possess one or more polar flagella, Xanthomonas possesses a single polar flagellum, and Agrobacterium possesses 1-6 peritrichous or subpolar flagella.
- In contrast, Xylella (such as Xylella fastidiosa) is strictly non-flagellated (aflagellate) and moves solely via twitching motility using Type IV pili.
- The question in the examination paper intended to ask 'Which bacterium is aflagellate' (non-flagellated) or contained a typographical ambiguity where three out of four options were flagellated.
- Because Pseudomonas, Xanthomonas, and Agrobacterium are all flagellated, this question contained multiple correct answers under the printed wording, and RPSC officially DROPPED this question.
Hence, the question was officially dropped by RPSC.
