RPSC Assistant Agriculture Officer 2018 (Paper 1 - General Hindi & GK)

Analysis of Ranthambhore Fort:

• Ranthambhore Fort (Sawai Madhopur) is situated atop seven steep hills surrounded by dense forests and gorges, making it invisible from a distance until one is very close.
• Abul Fazl noted in Akbarnama: 'All other forts are bare (naked), but this fort is armoured (clad in armour / Bakhtarband)'.
• Therefore, Option (1) Ranthambhore is the correct answer.

Analysis of Traditional Customs in Rajasthan:

• 'Jhimmi' is the traditional red-pink border-worked mantilla (Odhani) presented by the maternal uncle (Mama) to the bride, which she wears specifically at the time of the wedding circumambulations (Phere / Saptapadi).
• Therefore, Option (3) precisely defines 'Jhimmi'.

Analysis of Feudal Social Structure:

• In feudal Rajasthan, hereditary domestic slaves maintained in royal palaces and aristocratic thikanas were known by terms such as Gola, Daroga, Chakar, Chela, Khawas, and Vadaran (female).
• These individuals served generationally in household servitude under the custom of 'Davad (Dasi) Pratha'.
• Therefore, Option (2) Domestic slave is the correct answer.
