EXPLANATION
Indian Agriculture, Land Utilization & Holdings
- Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) was launched in August 2007 (11th Five Year Plan) as a 100% Central Grant Additional Central Assistance scheme.
- Following the recommendations of the Sub-Group of Chief Ministers on Rationalisation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in 2015-16, the funding pattern for general states was restructured from 100% Central assistance to a 60:40 sharing pattern between the Centre and States (60% Central contribution).
- For 8 North-Eastern states and 3 Himalayan states, the sharing pattern was set at 90:10.
- Hence, the Government of India reduced its contribution from 100 percent to 60 percent.
